What is CliVEx, and what is its main goal?

CliVEx stands for “Climate Virtual Exchange- Enhancing Climate Awareness in Europe and the South Mediterranean Area”  and aims to enhance climate awareness in Europe and the Southern Mediterranean area. Its primary goal is to promote intercultural dialogue among  students and academic staff  from these regions on the topic of climate change. CliVEx is a three year project ending in June 2026.

How many participants does the CliVEx project aim to reach?

The project aims to reach a total of 2,500 participants. This includes 1,500 participants in the five Virtual Exchange (VE) “Climate Justice” iterations and 1,000 participants taking part in the five iterations of online dialogue facilitation training.

What are the main expected outputs of the CliVEx project?

The main expected outputs include the delivery of the VE course on Climate Justice to at least 1,500 students, online training on facilitation for at least 1,000 participants, a CliVEx Handbook for replication in different contexts, 150 climate action projects produced by learners, and 600 certified online facilitators.

Who is eligible to attend CliVEx Virtual exchange and Online Facilitation training courses?

To be eligible, one should be aged 18-30 and  residing in one of our target countries: Algeria, Egypt, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Netherlands, Palestine, Portugal, Spain, Syria, Tunisia.
