CliVEx

Celebrating three years of intercultural dialogue across the Mediterranean through Virtual Exchange. Save the date for the Final Online Workshop on June 18, 2026

After three years of collaboration, exchange, and shared learning, the EU co-funded CliVEx – Enhancing Climate Awareness in Europe and the Southern Mediterranean Area project has reached its final journey by celebrating its results and impact during a final online workshop, “Celebrating Impact, Shaping the Future of Virtual Exchange” taking place on 18 June 2026, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM (CEST).

The CliVEx project successfully fostered intercultural dialogue across the Mediterranean through virtual exchange, bridging diverse academic, cultural, and social contexts.

Leveraging the shared concern of climate change, students and young academics participated in structured, inclusive, and meaningful dialogue. Over the course of the project, more than 2,500 students and young academics from Europe and the Southern Mediterranean benefited from CliVEx activities. Among them, over 1,500 participants actively took part in moderated virtual exchanges, while around 1,000 were trained as online facilitators, building long‑term capacity within higher education institutions and empowering a new generation of intercultural dialogue practitioners.

The final workshop is both a moment of celebration and a forward‑looking discussion, highlighting results, sharing lessons learned, and exploring how the CliVEx model can be scaled and embedded in higher education to further promote dialogue, inclusion, and internationalisation at home through virtual exchange.

The event is addressed to Higher education faculty members, academic leaders, and decision-makers seeking to adopt innovative, scalable approaches to teaching, learning, and international collaboration through virtual mobility.

The workshop will be delivered online on Zoom platform. Register here.
